GROWTH AT SCALE: HOW A 100-STORE RETAIL CHAIN DROVE REAL RESULTS
A dynamic South African food retail chain, with 100 stores nationwide at the start of our partnership, was ready to accelerate its expansion and customer engagement in a competitive market.
Our collaborative campaign focused on clear, actionable objectives:
- Driving foot traffic to physical stores
- Boosting downloads of their proprietary delivery app
- Attracting high-quality franchisee leads via LinkedIn
- Building secondary awareness of their availability on third-party platforms like Mr D and Uber Eats
The primary success metric for the owner was app downloads, while the CFO closely monitored in-store sales performance.
THE RESULTS SPOKE FOR THEMSELVES.
Across platforms, the campaign consistently achieved an average monthly reach of nearly 1 million users. TikTok alone delivered around 500,000 in monthly reach, proving the power of short-form video content for this audience.
The delivery app saw a strong, sustained uplift, averaging 5,000 downloads per month during the campaign period.
In-store sales rose noticeably across the network, with increases recorded in all but five locations. Those outliers were harder-to-find stores, and the campaign data actually helped pinpoint the visibility challenges. This insight enabled the operations team to address signage, mapping, and local navigation issues to support future growth.
On the franchise development side, LinkedIn efforts generated meaningful conversations with prospective franchisees,
opening doors for expansion discussions.
This multi-channel digital strategy delivered measurable growth in customer acquisition, app adoption, foot traffic, and
franchise interest—proving how precisely targeted campaigns can fuel real-world business results for a rapidly scaling retail brand.
